Our Mission
Africa holds extraordinary natural wealth — yet a persistent skills and education gap prevents that wealth from reaching every citizen. FX Foundation targets the root: the earliest years of a child's life, where lifelong potential is formed.
In partnership with Dr. Monique de Wit from Stellenbosch University, we are developing Montessori-inspired learning materials proven to build school readiness, cognitive development, and the foundational literacy that changes life trajectories.
Many children in South Africa are not ready for school when they start Grade 1. This affects long-term academic and economic outcomes across generations. Mobile app training for preschool teachers and caregivers is one strategy that may improve school readiness. The resulting app supports accessible, contextually relevant teacher training in low-resource settings.
Our Origin
FX Foundation grew from the heart of DAVID — an animated film developed by Sunrise Animation Studios in South Africa. When that creative journey brought us face-to-face with the communities behind it, we knew we had a responsibility to give back. That responsibility became our foundation.
